Gentle and specialized care for young families

As new parents, there is already a lot to consider.

From colic to motor development abnormalities, chiropractic care is a safe and effective method for treating a variety of conditions in children and during pregnancy.

Let us help you enjoy this incredible new adventure with your child again. While all of our therapists are qualified to treat children, Christin Maskus and David Wilmott are experienced and trusted specialists in pregnancy and infants.

Chiropractic can help with:

Birth trauma

Whether it is a long labor or a cesarean section, the forces acting on the cervical spine and skull can cause a number of difficulties in breastfeeding, restlessness and colic, or asymmetry in skull development.

Restlessness and excessive crying

Parents suffer when their children suffer. If your baby appears to have symptoms of colic or fussiness, we recommend an examination to determine the cause.

Injuries

During play, sports, or other accidents, children often injure themselves as they explore the limits of their balance and their growing bodies. Even if your child appears to be developing normally, we recommend regular visits to check spinal health.

Poor posture

In our digital age, parents often notice a change in their children's posture as they spend more time in front of screens, spend more time playing sports, or perhaps have a tendency toward scoliosis. Constant or repetitive movements can make these postural abnormalities permanent over time.

Pregnancy

The biomechanical, hormonal and anatomical changes of pregnancy also affect the stability of the lower back and pelvic ligaments for up to a year after delivery. Lower back pain, sciatica, hip pain and pelvic pain during pregnancy are common reasons for seeking chiropractic services and we are happy to modify our typical techniques for expectant and postpartum mothers. We also have pillow adapters for our tables so you can lie on your stomach too!
